The vast majority of the weight loss industry is focused solely on behavior changes for weight loss, despite proven research that shows poor success with that approach. Research shows that on average there is only about 5-7% weight lost with behavior changes, and it often ends up with weight regain and/or weight cycling, frustration, stigma, and ultimately long-term poor health outcomes. Jackson Medical Specialists takes a fresh approach to an old problem: overweight and obesity are medical conditions that warrant medications for management.
